Gameplay Programmer - New IP

This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Gameplay/Generalist programmer with Unreal experience to join an experienced game development team. You will be a key member of the team, creating runtime features which are at the heart of the users’ experience. You will have both a deep technical knowledge and a real passion for making great games.
Key Responsibilities
As a Gameplay programmer you will be working closely with the entire development team, creating the features that engage and delight our players. These C++ systems must be robust, easy to use and performant across all platforms. You should also be comfortable doing fast paced prototyping with Blueprints in Unreal.
Your key area of responsibility will be working with designers to support both player and NPC systems to be their best. This will range from prototyping new gameplay features all the way through to helping to create release quality gameplay systems and features.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Fluent in C++ programming
- Experience of developing gameplay or AI systems in Unreal
- Ability to own significant features of the game
- Happy and confident working with other disciplines
- Attention to detail and a passion for making quality products
- Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written
- An excellent academic background in computer science, maths or engineering
- A deep knowledge of Unreal 4 development
Desirable
- Experience with multi-platform development
- Experience with parallel programming
- Understanding of networking technologies and techniques
- Experience of delivery of a Game As A Service
- A basic understanding of character animation
