Gameplay Programmer Intern
Santa Monica Studio
Responsibilities:
- You will implement gameplay technology as directed by more senior engineers
- You will help maintain existing systems
- You will be expected to collaborate with partners and customers
- You will write clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code
- Profile and optimize to remove bottlenecks
- You will test and document code produced
Qualifications:
- At least two years toward a B.Sc. degree in computer science or similar field
- A deep understanding of C and C++
- Proficient in linear algebra
- Communication: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Interns should be hardworking, communicative, and enthusiastic.
- Highly organized with a good work ethic
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced game development environment
- A problem-solver
Desired qualifications:
- At least one completed self-directed, self-created game project (any size, any genre, any platform)
