GAMEPLAY PROGRAMMER INTERN
What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for smart, creative Gameplay Programmer Interns to join us on a new project being built in the Fortnite Ecosystem starting in 2025. Our Interns are given challenging projects over the work term and are provided with a meaningful experience with high expectations for performance. If you want to build something Epic, this is the opportunity for you! As part of the gameplay programming team, you will be given a feature to own as part of our development cycle. You will work with your engineering lead and design counterparts to flush out the system and build something memorable for our players.
In this role, you will
- Work closely with art and design to create new and iterate on existing game features
- Prototype new game features
- Support the technical excellence of the game on multiple platforms
- Optimize and fix bugs in existing game systems
- Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development
- Write robust, maintainable C++ code
What we're looking for
- Strong C++ knowledge is a must
- Experience with or projects of gameplay coding utilizing C++
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine and understanding of blueprints
- Passionate about game development and Epic Games products
- Exceptional communication skills and experience working within a team
- Able to react and respond effectively to coding feedback
This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
