We are seeking a Gameplay Engineer to help develop game systems as part of our project’s larger gameplay team. In this role, you will help build our world, bring it to life, and lay the foundation for a wide variety of survival gameplay features.

We need help with
- Supporting world builders and content creators with the systems and features they need to bring our world to life.
- Building on your experience to design an efficient and robust framework for all kinds of features.
- Collaborating with content creators and other gameplay teams to learn and understand their needs.
- Championing Blizzard’s core values.
What you are good at
- Making and shipping AAA games!
- Building systems that drive the simulation and execution of a large and dynamic game environment.
- The ability to understand and write effective and efficient C++ code
- Communicating ideas clearly, learning from others, and giving meaningful feedback
- Math, with a strong proficiency in linear algebra, trigonometry, and 3D vector manipulation
- Collaborating with content creators (designers & artists).
- Actively and enthusiastically seeking out help, advice, and reviews
- Performance analysis and code optimization.
Extra awesome points for
- Experience designing, authoring, and maintaining large and complex systems
- Shipped AAA game titles or equivalent product development experience
- Familiarity with visual scripting languages (such as UE Blueprint)
- Enjoy playing a variety of video game genres and titles.
