Gameplay Capture Artist (Fixed Term Contract)

Dreamhaven is seeking a talented Gameplay Capture Artist to join our marketing team and help create captivating content for our games. This contract role will work closely with the Creative Director and our game development teams.

The ideal candidate is a video game guru with a knack for great visual storytelling. As a Gameplay Capture Artist, you’ll be the lens through which players experience our games before they even press start. You’ll work across multiple games, diving deep into each to understand the heart of their gameplay, mechanics, and narrative. Your job will be to record authentic, engaging footage that resonates with players and represents the core of what makes each game special.

This is a fixed-term role with an estimated duration of six months.

You Will:

• Capture high-quality gameplay footage that authentically represents the look, feel, and mechanics of our games
• Collaborate with the marketing, creative, and development teams to align on the purpose, tone, style, and content of the footage
• Work within different game engines and builds to set up shots and sequences
• Use your keen understanding of authentic gameplay to highlight the most exciting and dynamic aspects of the games
• Lightly edit and refine footage as needed for use in trailers, social media content, and other marketing materials
• Organize and maintain captured assets to ensure efficient workflows across projects

• Knowledgeable about what makes gameplay feel authentic and exciting to watch
• Detail-oriented, with an eye for composition, pacing, and storytelling in gameplay footage
• Collaborative, with excellent communication skills for working across creative, marketing, and development teams

• Well-organized and able to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines

Qualifications:

• Strong portfolio showcasing your gameplay capture experience, particularly with game trailers or promotional content
• Experience working with different game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and familiarity with in-engine tools for setting up gameplay shots
• Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere) is a plus

T he base salary range for this position is $59,163 to $98,605 USD per year, which is associated with our Level 1 salary band. The range listed for this position is just one component of Dreamhaven’s total compensation package for team members; exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
