Guerrilla is looking for a Game Tech Programmer to help extend Decima’s medium level game systems.
Overview
You are a generalist programmer and are interested in working on various aspects of a Game Engine.
Who we are
The Game Tech team is responsible for various systems in the Decima engine. We work on animation, physics, streaming, a visual scripting language and tools to measure and analyze many aspects of the game. This tool starts the game and measures many performance related parameters at many locations in the game and stores the data in a Cassandra database. The results of these tests and other sources of data are displayed as charts and graphs in a visualization application developed by the Game Tech team.
What you'll do
- You will design, build and extend the systems described above, with an initial focus on the data collection and analysis framework described above.
- You will have to become very familiar with the Decima engine to understand its performance characteristics and how to best gather the relevant data with minimal impact.
- You will help analyze the data and pinpoint problems in the code and/or content and help fix the issue .
- You will enable other users of the system to build their own tests and to create their own dashboards.
Who you are
- You have strong communication skills and a good command of the English language.
- You have a helpful, solution-oriented attitude.
- You are an experienced C++ programmer and care about writing readable and maintainable code .
- You have very good analytical skills and know how to present and interpret data.
- You have a n affinity with games.
Pluses
- You have experience with SQL / noSQL databases .
