Wargaming is seeking a Game QA Automation Engineer for its flagship project, World of Tanks PC. You will join the team developing and supporting our game testing automation framework (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eJUpwr_HCY), and providing automated tests for it.
You will solve non-trivial tasks including asynchronous programming, embedded solutions, C++ integration, while working with client and server development teams. Working as a Game QA Automation Engineer shall allow you to regard testing automation beyond web, and hone your technical skills (system programming, design, test design, environment deployment) in a friendly environment of professionals always ready to help, teach, and learn.
What will you do?
- Develop and support automated tests for checking game logic, server subsystems, etc.
- Develop scripts and other solutions automating time-consuming QA tasks such as test environment preparation, validation of resources, etc.
- Integrate automated tests into CI systems (Jenkins/TeamCity) within existing and new test chains
- Develop the internal test framework based on bots emulating player behavior via scenarios written in Python
What are we looking for?
- 1+ years’ experience in testing automation
- Proven knowledge of Python (the standard library / PEP 8), preferably with project experience
- Experience with continuous integration systems (TeamCity/Jenkins/Bamboo)
- Understanding of client-server applications’ working principles
- Ability to analyze development code
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Basic knowledge of the Linux OS family
- Experience using and integrating different APIs by popular protocols (HTTP, SSH, Telnet, AMQP, etc.)
- Understanding of the specifics of desktop gaming projects automation
- Understanding of the working and development principles of multi-threaded and asynchronous applications (experience with the asyncio library will be a big plus)
- Experience using bots for any games (experience creating scenarios for them will be a big plus)
