About the Position:
We are seeking game makers with experience across one or several disciplines (design, engineering/Unity, art, animation, narrative, audio) who are interested in mentoring youth and helping them develop their skills. The Game Making Mentor will provide hands-on support and coaching to youth across our portfolio of game making projects. The Mentor will provide advice and guidance in their relevant discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Helping mentor aspiring game makers in one or more disciplines including design, engineering/Unity, art, storytelling, sound, etc.
- Assisting youth project teams in evaluating approaches and solutions;
- Providing participants with feedback and coaching on their work;
- Contributing to content development for Endless Studios Learning Program;
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Experience in a relevant game making discipline with proven track record of performance at the university or professional level;
- A background coaching, training, mentoring or teaching - for example teaching game engineering/development at the university or youth-program level;
- Strong technical experience in respective discipline, including with commonly used software tools (e.g, Unity, Blender, Maya).
- Passion for mentoring aspiring game makers.
