Playtika is looking for a Mathematical Game Economy Manager to join us!
You will be responsible to design and build free-to-play game economy, understand how a game works and how different players behave in the game.
You will be expected to understand, identify and develop different motivational drivers in the game’s virtual economy and design and balance the reward structure accordingly.
You will define different metrics to allow you to measure and keep improving the game’s economy, to create new segments on the designs, and to optimize pricing to improve the players’ and the game’s performance.
You will utilize both financial and mathematical understanding to best achieve your goals.
Responsibilities
- Use your mathematical skills in your designs to bring innovative thinking to the game and to solve the different challenges that present themselves in game design
- Design the economic systems to drive players to play and enhance their game experience
- Design new features that improve long-term player satisfaction, and provide monetization opportunities
- Recommend rewards and monetization game features to create an economic system for the player to engage in and enjoy
- Plan A/B testing plans and analyze their effectiveness
- Investigate different motivational and macroeconomic models for different segments of users
- Manage the economy and pricing of virtual goods; balance between free and paid content in the game economy
- Balance customer experience and revenue opportunity for in-game currency and virtual goods
- Collaborate with product owners, marketing managers, UX/UI designers, analytics team, data scientists and development teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Sciences or another exact science
- Additional Degree in an analytic or behavioral field – advantage
- Proficiency in python or other software language
- SQL\R knowledge – advantage
- Enjoy working with numbers, formulas, data analysis and excellent skills in Excel
- A strong interest in gaming
- Knowledge and experience with online/multi-player/social or free-to-play games – advantage
