Game Designer

It’s an incredibly exciting time here at Space Ape Games. We have projects at all stages of the development cycle, along with a fast paced environment that promotes genuine autonomy. We launched our exciting new music game, Beatstar, just over one year ago, and have some super creative projects that we’re working on behind the scenes! We are looking for a versatile and player-focused Game Designer to lead the design of our award-winning strategy game, Transformers: Earth Wars. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting the game roadmap, mentoring junior designers, and creating new features for our still-growing game. As a member of Space Ape's Design Guild you will also get the opportunity to participate in wider design discussions across our entire portfolio of projects.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of design, including characters, defences, new events, and features
• Balance and tune combat and abilities in an ever-evolving game
• Work hands-on in Unity to create and refine your designs
• Maintain the high standard of quality expected by our dedicated players
• Guide and mentor junior designers

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience as a game, systems, or level designer
• Experience using Unity or other game creation tools
• A passion for mid-core mobile games
• Interest in the Transformers universe is a definite plus
