We’re looking for a Game Designer Intern who will become part of our team for the summer and create an incredible experience for our players. We’re picturing someone who is passionate about EA games and is invigorated by the idea of working on a game. If this sounds like you, we're looking forward to seeing your resume!
Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype game systems.
- Research subject matter relating to the design goals to ensure the authenticity of the experience.
- Be a positive influence on the entire team and as a designer, promote the ultimate promise to deliver “fun”.
- Proactively seek out opportunities to identify and deal with issues before they arise.
- Ability to self-critique and accept outside critique. The more feedback you receive, the more you can tailor your work towards what is best for the game.
- Demonstrate a willingness to keep an open mind to coworker’s ideas, incorporating suggestions when applicable.
- Participate in the research and development of new tools and design systems.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in one or more scripting or programming languages.
- Currently working towards a math, engineering or CS Bachelor degree.
- Passion for making and playing games, especially sand-box and simulation games.
- Experience making your own game or mods.
- The ability to communicate clearly and in a detailed manner.
- A sense of timing and taste.
- Unity experience is a plus!
