ABOUT MEGAZEBRA

At MegaZebra we have successfully crafted category-leading games for more than 10 years. We develop our own original titles by combining technology, game-design, art, analytics, and bringing together passionate people from around the globe we have repeatedly been able to produce hit games. We are based in Munich/Germany and Montréal/Canada.

We develop all our games in small and vibrant teams. Each team has a high degree of responsibility and creative freedom for their game and is committed to creating something outstanding. We currently work completely remotely and are looking for a (Junior) Level Designer / Game Designer to join our virtual teams in Montréal and Munich Studio.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES YOUR PROFILE

  • Level design and balancing of new content and features in the game
  • Game design for optimizing and tweaking previous levels and features
  • Help with the adaptation to mobile (revamp the UI\UX with us + adapt features)
  • Design mockups for our new screens and menus (Google slides, Google doc…)
  • Preparation and execution of special and seasonal events and promotions
  • Ownership of content calendar and releases
  • Follow-up the team regarding the execution of content updates for current and future cross-platform games (iOS, Android, Facebook)
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Game Analysts and Release Managers
  • Keeping an open dialogue with the great user community of our games
  • Additional tasks in different departments, allowing you to develop multiple skills!

YOUR PROFILE

  • A solid understanding of level design, difficulty curves and what drives players to try again
  • Good general knowledge of the mobile game industry and the most popular titles that helped shape the landscape throughout the years
  • Familiar with free-to-play games, their UI, game mechanics and monetization strategies
  • Knowledge of best practices in casual game design and player psychology
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Extra star if you have successfully released at least on Casual, Mobile or Facebook game
  • +1 Booster if you are familiar with Unity or other game engines
  • Free gems pack if you worked on a Puzzle game in the past
