Game Design Intern

Are you a technical powerhouse who’s eager to conceive, craft, and perfect memorable gameplay for a huge player base? If yes, we’d love to hear from you! Demiurge Studios is seeking candidates for 6-month paid game design internships in our Cambridge, MA office.
As a game design intern you’ll create live event content and tune gameplay systems for one of our live titles on iOS, Android & PC. With the support of our senior game design staff, you will have a direct impact on the success of a major title.
Responsibilities
- Implement live events using Excel and other internal tools
- Work with senior development staff to create, tune, and maintain complex game systems
- Assist in design and implementation of characters and playable content
- Author and refine game design documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in an iterative, agile framework
- Analyze, interpret, then react to key performance indicators
Qualifications
- A deep understanding of basic game design principles, ideally demonstrated through completed game projects
- Ability to learn new tools and workflows with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient with Excel
- Local to eastern Massachusetts
- Available full time for six months
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
