Game Data Analyst Intern

Wargaming Vilnius is seeking an intern to join our team for up to 6-month paid internship program. We expect your part-time involvement (20 hours per week) . Preference will be given to candidates who will be ready and able to join us in the Vilnius studio and eligible to work in the Republic of Lithuania (EU nationals and holders of a valid work/student visa).

This position requires a person capable of thinking systematically and applying cutting-edge data analysis techniques to our games. Successful applicants will become critical members of our Product Analytics team in Vilnius.

Dmitriy Shchegrikovich, Head of Analytics

PhD, University Associate Professor, Head of Analytics with over 10 years of practical experience in data analytics and 7 years in business decisions making. Dmitry and his team implements analytical culture throughout the whole company, helps understand the current situation and see various future scenarios in order to make optimal decisions based on facts.

Sergey Proshuta, Analytics Team Lead

MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics. An experienced analyst with over 15 years of hands-on experience in applying of different mathematical approaches to solving real-world business problems. Currently is leading the Analytics Team with a wide range of responsibilities.

Tatyana Mikhailova, Game Data Analyst

Master of Physics and Mathematics. Her focus is product data analysis that combines deep analytical researches, forecasting of various levels of complexity, and providing day-to-day analytical support to the business decision-makers with KPIs and business models.

Elena Golomazova, Marketing Data Analyst

PhD in Economics, University Associate Professor with 10 years of working experience in Marketing. Elena is the brain behind of the World of Tanks’ monetization optimization projects. Currently, she is in charge of building analytical support for marketing projects of various complexity levels.

What will you learn ?

• You will learn what a lifecycle of a product is and what the tasks of product analytics are like, as well as about the data-driven approach and the stack of modern technological solutions used to analyze data.
• You will study how to build a system of logging, collecting, and processing initial data.
• You will dive deeper into the applied mathematics to discover exciting insights and check hypotheses. You will learn to find analytical dependencies in structured and unstructured data.
• You will learn how to set goals and draw conclusions for research problems. You will get practical recommendations on creating the most useful analytical reports.
• You will get an amazing opportunity to work with our experts on examples of real-life cases, and together with them, study and apply modern technology and theory in the area of processing and analyzing big data. All these will be helpful in solving the problems that occur during the development, launch, and operation of a game product and its subsystems.

What skills are we looking for?

• Ability to explain complex findings and ideas in simple language
• Background in business, economics, statistics, computer science, or marketing
• Understanding of Data Mining approaches
• Education or practical skills in Mathematics and Statistics
• Basic knowledge of relational databases and knowledge of SQL
• Basic knowledge in programming with Python and/or R

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• A minimum of work experience will be an advantage
• Interest in modern technology and methods of processing, analyzing, and visualizing data
• Desire to develop the skills of systems analysis and multidimensional data analysis, of building and using various models (mathematical, simulation, econometric, and predictive models)
• Readiness to study, learn, and systematize large amounts of information
• Rich gaming experience in different titles
• World of Tanks player
• It's nice to know Russian language
