We’re looking for a creative and collaborative Game Capture Artist to help us showcase the vibrant world of Palia to our players. Sitting on the Publishing team, this role will work closely with Marketing, Community, PR, and Brand to help develop content that excites and engages fans on an ongoing basis. As part of a rapidly growing studio, being passionate about games, cultivating a growth mindset, and having a fearless approach to problem-solving is a must.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
- Compose and capture gameplay footage, screenshots, and custom vignettes in-engine for use in marketing assets across Palia’s owned & operated channels (social media, community, CRM, site, and more)
- Capture assets such as social videos, trailers, presentations, media packages, and more to use across marketing campaigns
- Contribute to the creative vision of the publishing team, from conceptualizing content and pitching asset ideas, to developing and executing highly engaging content experiences for our players
- Collaborate with both publishing and development teams to navigate projects, gather alignment and feedback on content direction
- Be on the lookout for ways to improve capture tools and capture efficiency; a pulse on new tools and platforms available in the space
- Able to find innovative solutions to achieve the best shots possible with existing in-game content and unfinished builds
- Design and apply graphics, titles, transitions, and animations for video content
- Assist with editing video assets as needed
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in creating gaming-related videos
- Experience with game engines (preferably Unreal Engine 4 and above) and video capture software and hardware
- Experience manipulating cameras, animations, and game assets in UE
- Experience generating shotlists and gameplay sequences based on briefs and rough edits
- Experience capturing and editing in OBS and Adobe Premier and similar video editing software
- Experience capturing in different gaming platforms
- Experience editing video content and assets
- Understand concepts of composition, cinematography, lighting and action choreography
- Strong artistic eye, highly creative, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Understanding of game development cycles and processes
- A fast and flexible learner, with strong organizational skills and excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with the gaming industry, entertainment, and overall enthusiasm for gaming
- A nimble collaborator who isn’t afraid to play with content and ideas
- A creator who is always thinking from the fan’s point of view and how we can best serve and excite our fans
- Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion across the gaming space
- Must provide a portfolio demonstrating relevant experience
Salary Information:
The Los Angeles base salary range for this full-time position is$50,000 - $80,000 for an Associate- level Game Capture Artist. Base salary will be determined by role, level, and location. The range listed for each job is the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the positions across S6-approved states. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors. Please discuss your specific salary expectations for your preferred location during our interview process.
Compensation details reflect only the base salary, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits such as 401k matching.

- Choice of Remote (in approved states) or Hybrid office options in Los Angeles, CA, or Orange County, CA (office location pending) unless noted above
- Aligned to core Pacific Coast hours (10:00am - 4:00pm PT)
