We are looking for Master Thesis students to work on our team and go deep in specified or chosen problem spaces. For this current hiring cycle, we are looking for you who is interested in exploring Advanced Radiance Caching Techniques for Global Illumination and/or Glossy reflections in Real-Time Rendering.
Project Overview:
Global illumination (GI) is critical for achieving realistic lighting in computer graphics. However, the computational cost of accurate GI remains a significant challenge, especially in real-time applications. This thesis project aims to explore and develop advanced radiance caching techniques to enhance the performance and quality of global illumination and related techniques in real-time rendering.
Several caching methods have been proposed, both AI driven and algorithmical. We are aiming to investigate how these techniques can enhance our existing tech, Global Illumination Based on Surfels (GIBS) and pave a new way forward for future research.
