Job Overview
Wargaming Data Warehouse is looking for a Frontend Engineer to join our team, responsible for maintaining, developing, and scaling our internal Data Management platform. Built on top of the open-source DataHub backend, this platform is critical to our organization's data management strategy and enables us to leverage data for business innovation and AI adoption.
In this role you will have significant autonomy and impact, taking ownership of the platform’s user interface and experience. You’ll work closely with the Data Management team to design intuitive, user-friendly, and efficient interfaces that empower our data teams to explore, manage, and visualize data effectively.
What will you do?
- Take ownership of the frontend architecture and design for the Data Management platform
- Build responsive, performant, and scalable UI components using modern technologies - React, TypeScript, Next.js
- Contribute to the entire SW development process - from feature ideation to implementation, testing, and monitoring
- Collaborate with backend engineer to integrate APIs and deliver a seamless user experience
- Ensure best practices for web performance and responsive design are implemented
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Work closely with product owner and other stakeholders to turn user requirements into intuitive interfaces
- Continuously improve the frontend system through testing, debugging, and optimizing for performance
What are we looking for?
- 4+ years of professional experience in frontend development
- Strong proficiency in JS (ES5/ES6), React.js, Typescript, Next.js, HTML5 and CSS
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD workflows and version control systems (GitLab)
- Experience with frontend testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright or Cypress
- Experience implementing/connecting to APIs (we use Apollo GraphQL)
- Solid understanding of UX/UI principles and a keen eye for design
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Intermediate or higher level of English
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Backend development experience in Go and Python
- A portfolio showcasing your work on dynamic, data-driven applications
- Experience with Docker
- Familiarity with backend technologies and an understanding of the full-stack development process
- You enjoy and understand how to create superior user experience
Work mode
- The candidate can work onsite, hybrid, or fully remotely within any country where WG has a legal entity.
The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 4000-5000 monthly gross.
