Freelance Senior Back End Developer/Architect

We're looking for a hands-on technical leader to work on ideation, design, development, deployment, and support of backend services which are written in Python.

YOU WILL

Own end-to-end development and operation of high-performance microservices.
Implement product features using Python, AWS and various third-party libraries.
Architect solutions across multiple applications and products.
Lead architecting new systems/technologies/processes to stay current and increase efficiencies.
Work in an agile way, owning user stories, and ensuring features are created and shipped.
Interface with internal and client team to define requirements, deliverables, and provide the necessary engineering expertise and support to ensure on-time delivery.
Lead and collaborate across the technology team to figure out cross-team dependencies, ideate efficient workflows, design modular services, and execute these complex flows in a streamlined manner.
Be the go-to expert within the entire product domain, understand the architecture and interactions of the entire system.
Act as a team player through code reviews, creating documentation, technical guidance, and mentoring where needed.
Quickly get up to speed with an existing codebase.

YOU HAVE:

Expert knowledge of Python (6+ years of hands-on experience with web and others).
Experience with architecting backend systems for AWS as well as deploying and maintaining servers, databases (relational and noSQL), etc.
Proven experience in architecture, design, and delivery of data-intensive applications.
Experience writing testable code.
Confidence working with Git and industry standard workflows.
The ability to work in a fast-paced autonomous environment.
Debugging and performance testing skills.

BONUS IF YOU HAVE:

Familiarity with other types of platforms like VR / AR and gaming.
Experience with Node, JavaScript or Typescript.
Experience getting your hands dirty on the front-end side of the product.
Experience with web paradigms such as RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of the latest libraries and tendencies (React.js, Redux, Angular, Web Sockets, etc.).
Experience with Docker and how to use it in the context of Node.js and microservices.
