Free-to-Play Economy Designer
We are currently looking for a Free-to-Play Economy Designer. This role is directly integrated into our development teams, working with the content and feature teams to continually improve our live idle games, such as Idle Distiller as well as two more unannounced titles.. Your primary focus will be the integration of new levels & events, as well as designing, prioritizing, running and analyzing balancing experiments and other iterative improvements.

Kano is headquartered in beautiful Victoria, BC , but the position is open for remote work anywhere in Canada, with colleagues already in Ontario, Québec, & Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities
- Integrate new levels and events into existing games via Unity & Google Sheets.
- Manage the data & tools for segmented balancing experiments to achieve statistically relevant results.
- Reverse engineer & research competing products to equip the team with accurate statistics and feature breakdowns.
- Monitor live performance health metrics to help the development team detect potential issues and the most relevant segments,
- Regular game play of our Idle titles.
Required skills
- 1+ years of experience on a live ops Free-to-Play video game in a balancing, economy or integration role.
- Basic understanding of statistical math (sample size, margin of error, confidence level)
- Very comfortable with Google Spreadsheets
- Comfortable with Unity
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Attention to detail, meticulous and organized working habits. Ability to multi-task and to adapt easily to change.
