Your Mission
Are you a talent acquisition leader seeking a new opportunity? We are looking for a Franchise Talent Officer to join our Blizzard Entertainment team. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, self-starter that will implement and lead a recruiting and employee strategy. As a member of Blizzard TA leadership team, the successful candidate will lead the recruiting for our unannounced survival game. The role will focus not only on hiring our top game development talent (Software and Server Engineers, Art and Animation, Design and Production) but also on collaborating closely with business leaders, managing and developing other recruiters and leading and driving performance management and reporting. Our future FTO will own the talent and recruiting strategy, identify and recommend process improvements, and partner with team members in the execution of these critical components of talent acquisition. This is a strategic role helping the business align their product ambition to talent needs through identification of the talent profile needed to achieve product and business success both through hiring, outsourcing, and identifying potential strategic talent partnerships and potential acquisitions. Reporting to the SVP, Franchise Talent Officer for Blizzard, you will set the Talent Strategy for the franchise and provide strategic leadership to your team of recruiters.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Partner closely with the People Officer and the Leadership Team to collectively prioritize and deliver on our talent agenda and plans
- Design and implement a full-cycle recruitment strategy
- Hire and Develop a strong team of specialized gaming talent acquisition professionals
- Lean into discernment and understanding of the gaming industry to provide proactive, agile, and strategic mentorship to leaders
- Evaluate and translate data to provide actual and predictive analysis of recruitment successes and challenges
- Constantly draw upon the latest talent innovations to continuously push our unannounced survival game to go beyond the status quo and be seen as a talent leader amongst peers and adjacent companies
- Partner with the Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer to complete our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion priorities and drive related initiatives that make Activision Blizzard an even better place for everybody to work
Player Profile
- Minimum 7 years of strong recruiting and/or recruitment management with 4 yrs people management experience.
- Must have deep experience with full life cycle recruiting including demonstrated expertise in sophisticated internet searching, candidate research, and sourcing
- Must demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maturity
- Ability to lead by example with integrity, focus, and vitality in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
- Strong and proactive problem-solving skills that are driven by data, business insight, and a solution-oriented attitude
- Ability to continuously drive for process improvement – acting as a self-starter and change agent with a high sense of accountability
- Excellent written, listening, and communication skills with the ability to deliver messages clearly, concisely, and effectively
- Proven skills in relationship building; relationship management; and customer service – with the ability to work well independently and collaboratively
- Proven track record of influence to drive business results
- Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands
- Experience building and/or managing a team through change
- Strong computer proficiency- MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook a plus); as well as mainstream ATSs
- Experience of working in gaming and knowledge of game development cycle highly desirable
