Who We Are:
2K publishes some of the most popular video & mobile game franchises on the planet including Borderlands, BioShock, NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Evolve, XCOM, and Sid Meier’s Civilization.
What We Need:
2K is looking for a First Party Manager to be our main point of contact for the mobile platforms (Apple, Google, Amazon). You will assist 2K Mobile’s Senior Director of Business Development in aligning product roadmaps, driving exposure for our titles, and exploring strategic opportunities with the app stores.
What You Will Do:
- Manage 2K’s relationships with key mobile platforms (Apple, Google, Amazon) to maximize title featuring, drive organic downloads, and grow revenue.
- Consolidate and sell our mobile roadmap. Identify placement opportunities and influence product leads to capitalize on these beats. Create compelling pitch decks and featuring packages.
- Be 2K’s mobile platforms expert, representing first party needs, requirements, and requests. Whether this means driving adoption of platform tools, or advising on policies, app review, and store listing requirements.
- Explore new platform-driven initiatives – early access programs, new business models, emerging technologies/SDKs, new devices and platforms. Assess strategic fit with 2K’s mobile roadmap and value-add to underserved communities.
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- 2+ years of experience in partner management, client management, and/or business development in the gaming and/or mobile industries. Experience on the platform side preferred (e.g., Apple/Google Store BD or Editorial/Merch).
- Solid understanding of mobile games with a passion for Free to Play, preferably with knowledge of 2K’s franchises.
- Knowledge of the mobile games industry and ecosystem. Experienced in navigating mobile publishing platforms (i.e., App Store Connect, Google Play Console) – example, build testing (iOS Testflight, Google Play Beta), store listing elements, app review submission, submitting promotional artwork. Must have gone through an entire game’s lifecycle from development to Live Ops.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong deck-making and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to influence all levels of management, cross-functionally, and both internally and externally.
- Self-starter with proven ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
- Passion for sports franchises (NBA, WWE, etc) preferred.
Location:
Remote, but Bay Area preferred.
