First Party Operations Associate

At IO Interactive we’re happy to have the rare opportunity to expand our Publishing Team with the opening for a First Party Operations Associate. We are looking for a meticulous, driven and game centric person to join us on the game publishing adventures ahead. We’ve self-published Hitman 3 with great success and a record-breaking Metacritic score as well as our newest IP, Project 007 will be fully published by IOI – hence we need more hands on deck to assure compliance, technical alignment and general understanding for quality within AAA games across multiple operating systems.
If liaising with our first party partners and aligning expectations both internally and externally to support the completion of our ambitious goals related to publishing sounds like the next great step for you, and you hold an analytical approach along with keen eye for the details other people might miss you might very well be the person we’re looking for!
You will join our ambitious operations team where we expect you to contribute to the optimization of our business processes and maintain our strong and trust-filled collaboration with our first party partners to deliver excellent experiences to our gamers across all platforms. You will report directly to our Chief Commercial Officer and be responsible for making sure we are compliant, up to date and proactive in our day-to-day collaborations. But more than that, you will get to do all of this as the start of an exciting journey we set on, and of which you will get to be a core part.
What you will do:
- Maintain and update product setup on 1st party store backends: store assets, pricing, age ratings, entitlement setups and similar
- Prepare products for store and certification submissions on all 1st party store backends
- Support in first party policy waiver processes
- Act as a facilitator of store policies conversations between developer teams and 1st parties
- Partner with the external partners to ensure alignment where policies and business decisions overlap
- Deep dive, explore and learn about all aspects of platform features, requirements, and policies to educate our teams on best practices, identify technical risks and mitigations, and anticipate and socialize potential implications of publishing decisions
- Work effectively within a cross-disciplinary organization with multiple partners and an international team
Who you are:- Detail oriented and analytical with a flair for complex problem-solving
- Communicative, precise and solution oriented when discussing best practices and solutions both internally and externally both at high level and in depth. This includes the ability to be able to present technically complex information in a digestible manner to our development teams
- Background in QA or release management experience is a plus
- Experience creating mutually beneficial relationships both internally and externally in a crossroads where everyone has different needs and priorities that all are valid
- Experience in operating Microsoft, Sony and Steam store setup and backend tools (Good to have same for Stadia, Epic, Nintendo, and Oculus)
- Knowledge of Store Policies and Technical Requirements for submission for Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam (Good to have same for Stadia, Nintendo, and Oculus)
