Financial Reporting Manager

As a Financial Reporting Manager, this role will be responsible for overall functions of the financial reporting including monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting, running all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles for Kabam, directly supporting the Corporate Controller.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of full cycle accounting including the full cycle transactions, taxation and financial reporting
- Review and approve day-to-day journal entries
- Review monthly external revenue reports and compare to expectations based on internal database.
- Support Corporate Controller with month-end and quarter-end close management
- Prepares and review key Financial Reporting activities (e.g. monthly income statement variance analysis, Internal reporting for GM, monthly key working papers, quarterly MD&A for management, quarterly & annual Kabam standalone FS including notes, etc.)
- Prepare and review Netmarble monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packages
- Support Corporate Controller to maintain and support cash flow forecast
- Assist Corporate Controller to manage quarterly review and year-end audit
- Prepare complex accounting treatment analysis when required
- Assist Corporate Controller to review and summarize contracts that includes contingencies and future obligations
- Assist Corporate Controller with implementing, maintaining ICFR and SOX testing
- Perform various tax compliance matters and manage filing
- Manage process and system improvement of core cycles
Qualifications
- 6-10 years experience in accounting, preferably in a technology company of medium to large size
- CPA or CA
- Organized and deadline driven
- Self-starter with limited guideline or instruction
- Experience in public company audits
- Experience in SOX is an asset
- Experience including managing month-end closes and various tax filings is an asset
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing or improving policies, procedures, and controls used in accounting systems
- Strong knowledge in IFRS or US GAAP and experience in US and Canadian Tax
- Expert in accounting systems (e.g. Netsuite)
- Experience in system/process improvement and automation is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of formulas and pivot tables, and able to build basic financial models in Excel
- Communicates in a clear, concise and professional manner with staff at all levels; influences and leads team to achieve project goals; Explains/presents complex ideas
- Supports skill development for others; inspires teamwork; creates and sustains a positive work environment; mentors junior team members.
- Collaborates effectively with others in same department, across feature groups and cross-discipline on a regular basis; works closely with leads group (all departments)
