Financial Controller - Finance Team

Improbable is at the forefront of emergent technology; we aim to create an ecosystem to enable greater fulfilment from the metaverse. This role will be core to the group finance function, providing support to the metaverse, games and defence business units, acting as the “glue” between the retrospective and forward-looking financial information.

As Financial Controller you will be seen as a leader within the Finance function and critical in the team’s success. You will achieve this by leading the collation, reconciliation and delivery of financial data across the wider Improbable group.

Your Opportunity:

• Lead a team of qualified accountants
• Own the close process, including the delivery of annual consolidated statutory accounts, quarterly investor reporting and monthly management reporting
• Oversee the Group FP&A and Management Accounting functions with a clear focus on providing single source of truth information
• Manage local and group tax, and compliance across the group of companies
• Partner with corporate functions, FP&A and FBPs to further develop insightful financial information
• Work with Financial Operations to automate processes and ensure the integrity of financial data through a highly functioning control environment
• Work with the Finance Director to develop a group treasury function and manage the liquidity of digital assets

• Excellent communication skills across written, verbal and an ability to present data and plans in a clear and concise manner
• ACCA/CIMA qualified with industry experience
• Netsuite or similar ERP experience preferred
