Position Purpose

Pipeworks Studios is looking for a personable and experienced Financial Analyst . This position will interface with CEO, finance group, and project managers to ensure best visibility and accuracy in forecasting and tracking at both project level and company level. The i deal candidate will be expert in tools and software as well as project-based finances.

Essential J ob Functions

  • Become deeply immersed in the financials for the company and individual projects, including actuals, forecasts, and budgets
  • Update, verify, and provide ongoing analysis for forecasts and to support management and stakeholders
  • create and/or collaborate on analysis and reporting tools including excel, third-party, and custom tools
  • Maintain good relationships with managers and project managers and understand and respond to their needs
  • Proactively point out any problem areas or potential issues
  • Develop a firm understanding of our company processes , and how projects relate to each other and the various disciplines / roles required
  • Understand profitability drivers and important variables
  • Support accounting and other departments , from reconciliations to assisting with journal entries
  • Support our tools and software (i.e. Netsuite , Concur)

Qualifications/Skills Sets

  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP, knowledge of IFRS beneficial
  • Problem solving mentality
  • Proactive and collaborative communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of Excel, flexibility to use and create different tools and technology
  • Ability to create complex financial models
  • Understanding and interest in the games industry and project level finance s
  • Ability to distill large amounts of data into relevant information
  • Ability to work with all levels an d with all personality types
  • Experience with remote communication tools such as Z oom and Slack
  • Ability to work with core team on the West Coast and key stakeholders on the East Coast and in the UK

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5 years of experience, preferably within a similar industry
  • MBA preferred, but not required
