Your Mission

We are a finance and operations team that enables our best-in-class game development studio to make unforgettable experiences for our gaming audiences. This role is all about optimizing our effectiveness in a few key areas.

Financial Effectiveness

Support and assist the Director of Studio operations to deliver quarterly and monthly financial reports and forecasts and annual operational plans. Work to assemble and improve upon all required reporting and data from across the org to deliver on forecasts and operational plans

Expertise collecting, analyzing and summarizing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business discussions.

Proactively identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiencies in the studio

Ability to proactively identify and propose solutions to complex and ambiguous problems with minimal direction from manager.

Help to identify and drive cost savings while preserving quality on studio purchasing decisions

Analyze current and past trends in studio expenses and capital expenditures.

Proactively partner with development team leaders to help guide departmental budgets and spending

Establish strong lines of communication within the finance team and with business partners to raise issues and provide insight for decision making.

Ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed on behalf of the business

Organizational Ops Effectiveness

Apply the same financial rigor and analysis to analyze the operational efficiency of support services (Office Administration, Purchasing, IT)

Support Operations Manager and Director on studio operational processes (asset inventory tracking, facilities maintenance, event planning)

Manage key projects on the studio operational side (such as projects related to buildouts).

Player Profile

Expert level skill with Microsoft Excel (able to create and improve upon existing Excel reports, writing/creating macros, building out new dashboards etc.)

Familiarity with data query/database management tools is helpful (Oracle, Access, SQL)

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field required

Minimum 3 years of work experience with business / financial analysis

Finance/Accounting – controlling, evaluating, planning

Budget development and oversight experience

Solving puzzles, thinking on your feet

Rolling up your sleeves to get it done at any moment

Paying attention to the details and doing it right

Providing unparalleled customer support

Communicating and directing staff

Interest in the video game industry is nice to have but not necessary
