Role Overview:
Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team provides strategic and financial partnership to EA’s Leadership team. We achieve this through engaging with our partners to understand our broad strategy, analyzing data, and delivering insights to guide EA’s performance.
The Finance Manger role offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the company’s operations, be a collaborative business partner and trusted advisor within the Development Technology & Solutions (DTS) team, reporting to a Finance Manager II in EA Studios.
What You’ll Do:
Within DTS, you will directly partner with the Sports - Quality Verification, and the Studio Technology Group leadership teams. As global teams with footprints in North America, Europe, and Asia, this role provides an opportunity to lead across all financial elements associated with the delivery DTS strategy.
- Provide strategic advice and partnership to leadership teams within Sports QV, and STG
- Lead the financial planning process, including the long-range, annual, and quarterly planning cycles
- Establish and track performance measurements across all major title releases and projects
- Guidance on core finance processes, building efficiencies and streamlining deliverables
- Proactively managing risks and opportunities to the business strategy
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support our partners
Major Functions & Related Activities:
- Align with functional leaders on specific funding proposals
- Partner with leadership to set and manage budgets across all projects and titles
- Support leadership on investment and project decisions
- Provide regular financial visibility with regards to Outlook, Risk and Opportunities
- Lead ad-hoc projects to improve processes and performance
- Improve internal finance workflows
- Anticipate risks and partner with leadership to identify trade-offs to de-risk and maintain financial goals
Who You Are:
- 5 or more years’ experience in mid-level to senior finance roles
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning and analysis
- Experience evaluating performance metrics and implementing action plans
- Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities, meet tight deadlines, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high degree of change
- Ability to work with ambiguity and independence
- A team player able to work collaboratively, within the group and cross-functionally across business units/functions as a thought leader and partner
- Highly-motivated, passionate self-starter
- Experience using tools, processes, and teamwork to work at scale
Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration (CPA, MBA preferred)
- Experience with P&L management, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
- Experience in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
- Excellent MS excel and PowerPoint expertise,
- Maintaining complex financial models
- Knowledge in Anaplan Cloud based planning, and Oracle is an asset
