Un animateur technique est un pont entre l'animation et la technologie, travaillant avec des animateurs, des programmeurs et l'équipe d'animation technique. Leurs principales responsabilités peuvent inclure le gréement d'animation de personnages, la déformation, les outils, les flux de travail, la configuration des données, les intégrations de moteurs et les comportements d'exécution. En tant que stagiaire en animation technique, vous pouvez avoir une formation en art, animation, ingénierie ou informatique; cependant, vous avez une passion et un niveau de confort pour travailler à la fois sur le côté artistique et technique des problèmes. En tant que stagiaire en animation technique chez Motive, vous travaillerez au sein d'une équipe de jeu, prenant en charge les besoins techniques de l'animation et de l'art des personnages dans un environnement de production.
Responsabilités:
- Travailler avec l'équipe d'animation technique pour répondre aux besoins d'animation de gameplay, d'animation cinématographique et d'art de personnage
- Prise en charge de la configuration de la scène cinématographique, de la gestion des données, des intégrations et du dépannage
- Créer et soutenir l'écorchage et la déformation des personnages et des créatures
Compétences:
- Candidat à un baccalauréat dans un domaine connexe
- Une certaine expérience de travail avec un moteur de jeu (comme Unity ou Unreal)
- Connaissance des packages d'animation, tels que Maya et MotionBuilder
- Une certaine expérience de travail avec ou de création de personnages de base truqués et déformants
- Une certaine expérience de script / programmation est un plus (dans un langage comme Python)
- Une compréhension des processus et des défis dans la création de contenu d'animation pour les jeux

A technical animator is a bridge between animation and tech, working with animators, programmers, and the technical animation team. Their main responsibilities can include character animation rigging, deformation, tools, workflows, data setup, engine integrations and runtime behaviors. As a technical animation intern, you can be from an Art, Animation, Engineering or Computer Science background; however, you have a passion for and a comfort level working with both the artistic and technical side of problems. As a technical animation intern at Motive, you will work on a game team, supporting the technical needs of animation and character art within a production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Technical Animation team to support the needs of gameplay animation, cinematic animation, and character art
- Support cinematic scene setup, data management, integrations, and troubleshooting
- Author and support skinning and deformation for characters and creatures
Qualifications:
- Candidate for a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Some experience working with a game engine (like Unity or Unreal)
- Knowledge of animation packages, such as Maya and MotionBuilder
- Some experience working with or creating basic rigged and deforming characters
- Some scripting/programming experience a plus (in a language like Python)
- An understanding of the processes and challenges in the creation of animation content for games
