Job Description
We are looking for a junior engineer to fill a factory test software position in our Plantation, FL headquarters location. As a test software engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, support and management of manufacturing software systems during prototype development builds and special manufacturing projects and efforts. Be a part of our New Product Introduction (NPI) team and help us deliver our cutting edge AR headset to an exciting emerging market.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop multiple manufacturing test stations
- Hands-on work on NPI factory floor with custom software and instruments
- Use new technologies to execute factory test and calibration of prototype products
- Read and understand test station logs to analyze passing and failing runs
- Analyze test station statistical data
- Infer, recommend and disseminate corrective actions
- Manage prototype hardware security and protection of core Intellectual Property
Core Qualifications
- Knowledge of OOP and scripting languages (e.g. C#, Python, bash, etc.)
- User-level .NET environment experience
- Experience in Windows and Linux OS environments
- Exposure to command-line execution, script development and external computing process management
- Knowledge of communication, networking and messaging protocols
- Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Additional experience preferred
- Developer-level .NET environment experience
- MATLAB experience
- Experience with high-volume world-class design and manufacturing techniques for consumer electronic products
- Experience with stereo camera and IMU module calibration
- Image processing / computer vision experience
- Experience with industrial robots
Education
- BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent field, MS is a plus
