We are looking for a Computer Engineering or Computer Science undergraduate student to intern with our factory and calibration group at our Plantation, FL headquarters. As a factory test and calibration intern, you will be learning about and performing a wide variety of projects and tasks. Our responsibilities are related to the management of manufacturing software systems during prototype development builds. Become a part of our New Product Introduction (NPI) team and help us deliver our cutting edge AR headset to an exciting emerging market.
You will need to go into our office regularly in Plantation, Florida. (Near Miami/Ft. Lauderdale)
Responsibilities
- Hands-on work on NPI factory floor with custom software and instruments
- Learn about the design of multiple manufacturing test stations
- Gather and analyze statistical data
- Read and understand test station logs to analyze passing and failing runs
- Infer, recommend and disseminate corrective actions
Must-Haves
- Computer Science or Computer Engineering major
- 3.00 or higher current GPA
- Knowledge of OOP and scripting languages (e.g. C#, Python, bash, etc.)
- User-level .NET environment experience
- Experience in Windows and / or Linux OS environments
- Exposure to command-line execution, script development and external computing process management
- Knowledge of communication, networking and messaging protocols
- Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-Haves Experience
- Developer-level .NET environment experience
- MATLAB experience
- Familiarity with Embedded systems (firmware)
- Image processing / computer vision experience
- Experience with or interest in robotics
Education
- Current student in Computer Science or Computer Engineering major
