Factory Test Software Engineer - 2023 Summer Internship

Magic Leap is looking for Ph.D. , Masters, or Bachelors students to join our team for a 3 month Summer Program for students who are underrepresented in the field of Engineering/Computing. Job Description
We are looking for a Computer Engineering or Computer Science student to intern with our factory and calibration group at our Plantation, FL headquarters. As a factory test and calibration intern, you will be learning about and performing a wide variety of projects and tasks. Our responsibilities are related to the management of manufacturing software systems during prototype development builds. Become a part of our New Product Introduction (NPI) team and help us deliver our cutting edge AR headset to an exciting emerging market.
This internship will begin in June 2023 and requires physical presence at Magic Leap's headquarters in Plantation, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on work on NPI factory floor with custom software and instruments
- Learn about the design of multiple manufacturing test stations
- Gather and analyze statistical data
- Read and understand test station logs to analyze passing and failing runs
- Infer, recommend and disseminate corrective actions
Qualifications
- Knowledge of OOP and scripting languages (e.g. C#, Python, bash, etc.)
- User-level .NET environment experience
- Experience in Windows and / or Linux OS environments
- Exposure to command-line execution, script development and external computing process management
- Knowledge of communication, networking and messaging protocols
- Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal skills
Nice to Haves
- Developer-level .NET environment experience
- MATLAB experience
- Familiarity with Embedded systems (firmware)
- Image processing / computer vision experience
- Experience with or interest in robotics
Education
- Pursuing a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 3.00 or higher current GPA
