What We Do
Our Facilities team is responsible for building a unique and creative environment for our growing teams and offices around the world. From Cary to Berlin to Shanghai, our Facilities team selects designs and maintains our global campuses. Facilities take part in guaranteeing the everyday operations at our offices run smoothly, organizing and orchestrating global support as well as leading the build-out of our new 450,000 square foot headquarters located in Cary, NC.
What You'll Do
As the Facilities and Services Lead, you'll be accountable for the development and delivery of all Facility Management and Employee Services throughout a worldwide portfolio of owned and leased facilities.
In this role, you will
- Lead a high-performing team of in-house and outsourced resources to:
- maintain and operate all facilities to Epic standards, enable the safety and productivity of the occupants and preserve business continuity.
- deliver all facilities and designated employee services, including (but not limited to): operations and maintenance, energy management, janitorial, landscaping and exterior maintenance, building engineering, inventory management, space management, and occupant move coordination, furniture management, shipping & receiving, food & beverage, transportation, reception, and general office management, etc.
- Ensure all relevant financials by area/country, building, and projects are aligned with budgets and in compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Effectively manage all internal and external escalations, responses, and remedies.
- Establish performance metrics and drive measurable improvements. Ensure that all services are performed and delivered in accordance with contracts and KPIs.
- Administration and continuous improvement of all service delivery processes.
- Advance internal partner relationship management and communications with key stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Communicate GREF strategies for the sites with business stakeholders, while monitoring and translating feedback into actionable tasks.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations for the current service delivery model across a global portfolio.
- Development and execution of an outsourced service provider strategy, in collaboration with Epic Procurement and other GREF functions.
- Mentor and develop a facility and services management team, to strengthen their capabilities and assist in achieving their career growth.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 10+ years of professional experience is required, with at least 7+ years of senior management responsibilities.
- Proven experience in the oversight and delivery of facility management and employee services in relevant technically-oriented, full-service facility environments in multiple international locations.
- Ability to assemble and lead high-performing internal and external partner teams to deliver all services across a globally diverse portfolio.
- Experience building and managing a team or department within a startup or entrepreneurial setting, particularly one with both proprietary and contract resources.
- CFM, CPM, RPA, and/or CSM designation desired.
- Extensive knowledge of facility management and services-related sourcing, procurement and contract negotiations, as well as the associated internal corporate interfaces.
- Extensive knowledge of facility planning, design, general construction and commissioning practices .
- Having collaborated to develop and execute a global outsourced service provider strategy for facility management and services delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically, while encouraging speed, flexibility and frugality in the face of rapid change and a heavy workload.
