Facilities Supervisor, HQ

- Develops, implements, and oversees maintenance programs; ensures compliance with preventive maintenance plans and schedules. Keeps log of shift activities; reviews and maintains or manages the maintenance of records; prepares weekly and monthly activity reports.
- Diagnoses maintenance problems; makes or directs repairs, equipment overhauls, upgrades, and modifications; or recommends corrective action
- Familiarity with facility management software (e.g. Upkeep, CMMS, etc.) to address and ensure service requests and job specifications are completed on time and to customers’ satisfaction.
- Schedules, prioritizes, and inspects all work in progress and completed by employees/contractors under your supervision to assure use of safe work practices and completion of assignment on schedule with a minimum interruption of production
- Prepares repair cost estimates, requisition packages for procurement of new contracts, and justification for contract services, materials, and equipment
- Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures related to facilities maintenance to drive improvements, minimizing operating costs and reducing environmental impact.
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and operation of machinery and equipment installations.
- Plan estimate costs and oversees physical moves or rearrangement of machinery and equipment according to prepared facility layouts. May layout and oversee the relocation of or additions to facilities services. May work closely with methods and plant layout personnel to provide consultative services in the preparation of plant layouts.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire suppression systems to minimize downtime, unnecessary costs, and production delays, and to ensure good housekeeping. May assist operating departments in the disposition of problems arising from the operation, maintenance and installation of such systems.
- Participate in the activities related to the facility’s energy or environmental programs to ensure compliance with government rules and regulations, such as energy conservation and hazardous waste handling, storage and disposal.
- Performs day to day assignments in addition to supervisory duties.
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Facilities Operations/Supervisor role required.
- Knowledge and experience with the following: HVAC/Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, Fire Suppression, and General Building Construction
- Experience in CAD
- Expected to be part of an on-call rotation and make decisions in unplanned/emergency situations
- Available to respond to unplanned events
- Comfortable spending the majority of the time in the factory environment with hands-on approach.
- Build effective relationships both internally and externally, ability to communicate at all levels
- Able to successfully function during times of uncertainty and changing priorities
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Project)
- Associate degree or higher preferred but not required
