Facilities Assistant

OVERVIEW:

Our Facilities Assistant is the star behind keeping the 2K Vegas office humming and buzzing each and every day! Responsible for, but not limited to supporting day to day facilities and office service functions in our 3 floors totaling 45,000 square feet. Accountable for maintaining the overall appearance of the physical space, kitchen stocking and upkeep, supplies ordering and inventory, file storage and responding to a variety of ad-hoc facilities requests. You'll need to have a team-oriented mentality and friendly demeanor whilst seeing no task as too big or small! Reports to the Office Operations Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure orderliness and cleanliness in storage areas and common areas including reception, conference rooms, kitchens, printer stations and restrooms
• Keep up the pristine appearance of the office, e.g., spot clean carpet, walls, doors, windows, etc
• Follow daily routine enhanced cleaning and disinfection schedule for high touch point areas
• Lead the ordering, organizing, inventorying and re-stocking of supplies and consumables in their respective common spaces: office supplies, printer paper, snacks, drinks, paper goods, utensils, bathroom supplies, etc
• Support the set-up and clean-up activities for business meetings, staff meetings, receptions, and special events
• Assist with office moves and the preparation of workstations for new employees
• Assist with assembling and moving office furniture as needed
• Maintain and manage office recycling and shredding program
• Respond and follow up appropriately to email requests and reports of facilities problems
• Assist in inspections of 3 separate floors for safety hazards and light bulb changes
• Perform basic operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of office equipment
• Sort and distribute mail, log and deliver packages
• Assist in maintenance inspections of facilities for safety hazards and regulation requirements
• Maintain facility related spreadsheets and databases
• Provide general assistance to the Office Manager and Office Coordinator
• Participates in department projects as needed

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Excellent communication and writing skills with a customer service mindset
• 1+ years of basic computer skills, working knowledge of MS Office required, and ability to use a database
• Working knowledge of mail processes with USPS, Federal Express and UPS
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to anticipate office needs

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of directly related general office, facilities, or administrative experience
• Good planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Reliable with the ability to work in a team environment
• Use PPE and follow safe work practices
• Capable of working any overtime; which can occur during the work week, weekends, and occasional holidays
• Able to regularly lift up to 20 lbs. unassisted, occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. assisted by equipment or other employees and rarely lift up to 100 lbs. assisted by equipment or other employees
• Ability to sit, stand, bend at waist, stoop, crawl under desks, climb a ladder and walk up and down stairs daily
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms
