FP&A Analyst

Build A Rocket Boy is looking for an experienced FP&A Analyst to be part of the growing finance team, with focus on company budget and forecasting support, procedure and policy improvement, cost analysis and business reporting.
This role will support the Finance Director in improving business budget and forecast process, supporting budget holders on project finance valuation, finance advice as well as general procedure, policy and system improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Finance Director in preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, investigating and reporting variances.
- Understanding business drivers, challenging and interrogating data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Developing KPI for different functions, monitoring and reporting the trend and highlighting key variances.
- Working with finance manager in implementing financial improvement projects by evaluating the process for better efficiency and control.
- Preparing, analysing, and making improvement recommendations for key spend categories.
- Researching key accounting issues for compliance etc.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA).
- Strong experience gained from a similar role as finance analyst, finance business partner or management accountant, preferably in video game companies or from reputable professional services firms.
- Ability to understand key business drivers and to communicate effectively with non finance staff at all seniority levels.
- Excellent understanding of business reporting needs and process.
- Strong Excel skills, experience of Xero is a plus.
- and excellent analytical and numerical skills, experience in financial modelling, financial reporting and scalable processes.
