F2P Designer
Hutch is looking for a F2P designer for our hit game Top Drives.
As a Game Designer at Hutch, you’ll be at the core of game development, working with a cross-functional team. You will be line managing a design team working on a live title - Top Drives - and also looking at the future, prototyping and designing a brand new game.

Responsibilities
- Deeply understand the product’s vision and strategy.
- Keep up to date with CCG and RPG mobile games market as well as new titles across genres that are innovating.
- Deconstruct games that are likely to provide valuable lessons for our game design and UX.
- Share deconstruction learnings with the team and studio.
- Utilise these learnings with the addition of game data to hypothesize and propose ideas that would help achieve the product strategy.
- Collaborate with game director and product manager in refining high-level initiative goals, success metrics and scope.
- Collaborate with game director and product manager in designing the features, functionalities and UX.
- Collaborate with scrum team during the initiative’s development.
- Collaborate with game director and product manager on defining and refining the game’s liveops content cadence, liveops content player targets and new or improved monetisation strategies.
- Design and implement liveops content.
- Be responsible for the performance of designed liveops content (engagement and revenue), and meeting the cadence goals.
- Understand player feedback and analyse data on liveops to improve key metrics and support the ideation of improvements and new content.
- Maintain tracking documentation on liveops prize car rewards and proposal of which new or re-run prize cars we should run content for.
- Collaborate in ideation with game director and product manager for new types of live content and how to increase the content quantity and quality.
- Be proactive in proposing improvements and new ideas.
- Continuously be ambitious on how to improve design tools to accelerate liveops content design whilst maintaining or improving its quality and performance.
- Lead and collaborate with game director, product manager, data analyst and community manager to balance systems, economy and difficulty curves.
- Participate in the definition of the game design team responsibilities when there are multiple game designers on Top Drives.
- Be proactive in proposing improvements or new ideas on how to improve game design team processes and its structure, how to learn from other game designers in the studio and share learnings with them, gather and prioritise game design ideas from non-designers in the team and more.
Requirements
- Previous experience working on a successful mobile F2P game and in a live operation setting
- Strong design mentality and intuition for game mechanics and systems
- Ability to create wireframes and flows with a sensibility to UI/UX design (i.e. using principles of scale, colour, visual hierarchy, usability, etc.)
- Open to feedback with a ‘self-starter’ mindset that requires minimal supervision
- Experience balancing difficulty and gameplay
- Strong interest and belief in data-driven approach to support and validate intuitions

- A love of cars, motorsport and all things with wheels
- Experience with Unity
- An understanding of Lean development
