Magic Leap is looking for Ph.D. , Masters, or Bachelors students to join our team for a 3 month Summer Program for students who are underrepresented in the field of Engineering/Computing. Job Description

In this position you will support the Eyepiece Process R&D team and be exposed to hands-on processing of AR eyepieces (including substrate preparation, lithography, thin film deposition, general eyepiece assembly). A qualified candidate will be able to assist with sample generation, daily process monitoring/critical measurements, and general data analysis. You will be part of daily planning discussions and will contribute directly to activities required for project execution and time-sensitive part delivery. You should be prepared to innovate, provide critical feedback, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Our high functioning team consists of a diverse group of engineers and technicians.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment This position primarily works in a Class 100 cleanroom environment + wet chemical lab with acid, ultrasonic, and surface treatment equipment. The position may also include working with laser cutters, laminators/adhesives, and special measurement and test methods. The candidate must be able to suit up and wear cleanroom attire for extended periods. The ability to learn to manually handle glass and Si-type substrates + operate process equipment and metrology tools is essential.

This internship will begin in June 2023 and requires physical presence at Magic Leap's office in Austin, TX.
