Experienced Embedded QA Tester - Unannounced Project

As a member of the QA team at Paradox Development Studios, you will be a part of delivering the best possible games by testing our Grand Strategy titles in various stages of development. As an Embedded QA for an unannounced project you will be part of the development team where we test and analyze every aspect of the game.
About the role
As part of the development team of an unannounced game, your responsibilities will initially focus more on design feedback rather than identifying and reporting issues.
You will have a close relationship with developers and will be expected to feedback on design and feature functionality on a regular basis.
As development continues you will start doing more traditional bug-testing as well as supporting the developers by providing feedback on soft values such as game design and the general fun factor of the game. This means you need to be apt at interpersonal skills, to be able to nurture relationships with the developers, and communicate feedback that is constructive and relevant. Skill development in areas such as leadership and mentorship to others is encouraged, so our team can collectively spread their passion for quality.

Responsibilities
- Own the QA perspective within the project
- Test and feedback on features as they are being developed
- Actively feedback on design and direction from a player perspective
- Identify and report issues in our Bug Tracking Database according to internal standards
- Communicate & collaborate with other stakeholders such as Outsourced QA and internal Developers
- Perform a wide range of general and specialized tests
Requirements
- Experience working in Quality Assurance, ideally on games or other entertainment software
- Proficiency with bug reporting tools such as Mantis or JIRA
- Experience with a Paradox Development Studio GSG Title
- Familiar with testing on a variety of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.) and release platforms (Steam, Game Pass for PC, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills in reviewing all design-related information and interpreting areas of risk in testing
- Proficient in communication and giving constructive feedback
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and effectively learn and execute on their tasks, while collaborating with the rest of the development team in a constructive and supportive manner. Please share your experience with our games in your application, such as if you've been playing or modding for our Grand strategy games.
Practical information:
This position is based in the Stockholm office with weekly, optional, "Work from home days".
