The Executive Producer position will use a blend of creative, technical and management experience to create and lead the games production discipline and deliver in all areas of the development process. We are seeking a dedicated, focused, and self-motivated individual with a broad proven experience and track record of building production processes to help teams achieve their highest potential. As the ideal candidate, you will be proficient in all aspects of AAA game production and management. You are an organized and attentive leader; strategic, and thoughtful in all interactions with both internal and external partners. You will be using these skills in concert to problem solve and ensure that the production team can maximize efficiency and optimize time, cost and quality of the product that is being developed.
Principle Duties / Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain project plans, schedules, roadmaps, and budgets considering dependencies. Ensure the team is on track with their deliverables and seek opportunities for project optimization.
- Lead in the creation, estimation, and tracking of major milestones, gates, features, tasks, and bugs.
Communicate concisely, frequently, and effectively with the production team and discipline leads on project status, risks, and opportunities to ensure they are properly informed. Suggest corrective or mitigating actions.
- Can speak designer, artist, and engineer. Able to translate between these teams where needed to ensure alignment on goals.
- Help make informed decisions in conjunction with team leads on work methods, development pipeline, priorities, and available people.
- Apply project tracking tools to maintain a constant awareness of game content status and improve our creative processes.
- Improve the processes used by the production team to ensure our own effectiveness and workload balance.
- Set and moderate studio meetings, determine and delegate action items, keep the discussion on track, and set follow-up meetings.
- Remain current on industry trends, including new game genres, new game development methodologies, and emergent technology.

Required Knowledge / Skills:
PEOPLE: Proactive self-starter, but also a team player. Strong interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication, and project management skills a must. Ability to listen and understand various viewpoints and help guide diverse global workgroups to common solutions. Strong cultural sensitivity and sensibility a must.
PROCESS: Process knowledge, attention to detail, timely follow-up and strong organizational skills.
TECHNICAL: Understanding of the technical aspects of product and game development. Ability to identify other business units with necessary technical knowledge and cultivate relationships.
PLANNING / IMPLEMENTATION: Implementing projects in partnership with co-workers, global development teams, RHQ business units and global Sony divisions. Strong capability to multitask and prioritize. Ability to proactively handle shifting priorities and requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent direct work experience) and a minimum of 15-20 years of product development or related industry experience.
- Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to apply creative solutions within business constraints.
- Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities efficiently and effectively.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills in handling complex situations with the ability to negotiate and recommend solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook or equivalent E-mail client, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer or equivalent Web Browser required. Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint or Microsoft Visio a plus.
- Project management or product development experience in entertainment or videogame industry required.
- You must be a passionate gamer with a deep understanding of core game mechanics and the impact and influence of design decisions. strong opinions on overall quality of execution and a deep understanding for what it takes to execute at a AAA quality level is a must.
- Candidates must be proactive and willing to take direction.
- Creativity and ‘out of the box’ thinking is strongly encouraged.
Required Experience / Education:
- Minimum of 10+ years of proven game production experience and product development or equivalent / related industry experience
- Minimum of 5 years as an Executive or Senior Producer on a team that consists of 50+ members
- Two or more published AAA titles, at least one of which must have been as an Executive or Senior Producer during the entire development cycle.
- Experience working with teams through all aspects of the product life cycle, including prototyping, pre-production, production, beta, and release.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence workflows
- Bachelor’s Degree (4-year college) or equivalent direct work experience
Preferred Experience / Education:
- Familiar with visualization / collaboration apps like Miro
- Experience working on projects with and sharing / shepherding co-dev partner production teams. This could also be expressed as “You are a highly collaborative individual and can help facilitate relationships across the team.”
- Can discuss best project management practices for projects of varying scope and size.
- Can develop robust pipeline-based workflows in JIRA that maintain clear lines of accountability throughout a given issue’s lifecycle.

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$155,000 — $232,600 USD
