SciPlay is a leading developer and publisher of digital games on mobile and web platforms, providing highly entertaining free-to-play games that millions of people play every day.
Responsible for the overall production/project management, delivery, budget, and resource allocation for live game development across all disciplines. The role of an Executive Producer is to work with the team to reach its goals by ensuring development runs smoothly, the team is achieving its potential, and everyone is focused on the right work. Responsible for the timely delivery of a high-quality product our customers love. A key stakeholder in overall business performance, future strategy, and multi-million-dollar P&L impacting decisions
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-release responsibilities focused on completing the game on time for release. This means scheduling design, art, and programming so that teams have the assets they need to do the work they need to do.
- Directs the game development and demonstrates final authority within the team by:
- Owning how the team works and communicates across all work streams.
- Making informed long-term decisions where changes in the game or technical specifications are required / proposed
- Reviewing the game with quality and consistency in mind and provide constructive feedback
- Responsible for mentorship, evaluations, conflict resolution and recognition of the staff to maintain highly motivated and engaged employees.
- Create and maintain project schedules, milestones, benchmarks, and release plans.
- Lead regular planning and review sessions with team members; identifying future problems and work to avoid them.
- Reviewing the game with quality and consistency in mind and provide constructive feedback.
- Work with Product Management to meet the goals of the game P&L
- Help drive the product forward from a quality and polish standard that is industry leading.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Product Management on all strategic planning
- Management of development risk, prioritization, and ROI in a live game environment
- Help prioritize and maintain items on the roadmap with game studio leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience leading development teams
- Project management experience and demonstrable track record of scheduling and completing projects on time.
- Experience with software development environments
- Proven track record of delivering software products (ideally entertainment software) from start to finish as production leader.
- Experience working with offshore teams – Big advantage.
- Knowledge of current trends in video gaming and online gaming in the mobile, social/casual, console, and PC markets
- Familiarity with game play features of current casino video and mechanical slots
- Video game development, particularly in mathematical and puzzle games
- Strong knowledge of game mechanics, balancing, pacing, and monetization strategies for retail, mobile, casual, and free-to-play games.
- Exceptional emotional intelligence, able to “read a room” to build alignment and engagement.
- Passion to create fun games with an engaging player experience.
- Adept with Word and Excel
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- High proficiency in Project management software (Microsoft project, basecamp, etc...)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills
