Executive Producer

POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Producer will be responsible for working with external development teams worldwide to develop quality games on PC, console, streaming and other new platforms. The position manages an internal game production team and has primary ownership of titles developed in North and South America while managing or supporting Producers and teams assigned to assist with titles developed in Europe and Japan. Manages team to ensure all titles are on track to meet schedule, budget and quality targets while ensuring the identification and communication of goals, progress, quality and risks. They are responsible for taking games through the greenlight process and will own game titles from concept to release to live operations (if applicable). He/ She will collaborate on the identification, selection, negotiation and ongoing management of external game developers and schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of Producers with primary ownership of game titles developed in North and South America and staff who support Producers in Europe who are primary owners of games developed in Europe.
- Assist game production team focused on titles-developed on Japan in growing their skillset and sharing worldwide development best practices across global teams.
- Review, define, and implement internal process and best practices for Product Development
- Support internal production teams and external development teams in achieving quality, budget and schedule goals.
- Assist our internal production teams with contract, vendor, product management, as well as ongoing product monitoring and status updates.
- Propose, lead and participate in global production initiatives to communicate across global teams more effectively, hit quality goals on a global basis, and prepare the global production teams for future trends.
- Report and provide transparency for internal stakeholders, including the executive team.
- Be involved with and own the schedule, process and plan of delivery to ensure high quality and timely development.
- Help develop innovative business models and bring your experience in product development to support marketing and sales requests and strategies.
- Consult with internal business teams to conduct due diligence on external development partners to ensure proper knowledge, processes, and tools.
- Iterate and improve the internal strategic product evaluation methodology in collaboration with Business Development, Sales, Marketing, and Production teams worldwide to ensure the right products start development with risks identified.
- Work with Business Development, finance and legal teams to make sure the deal terms are the right ones for the project.
- Work with the marketing team to help identify specific data on target market segmentation and data and be highly knowledgeable in data analytics, tools and actions including reporting changes, trends and so forth beyond the public release of a project.
- Communicate, discuss, work with, consult with, consider, negotiate and discuss all aspects of the production with all key project stakeholders, with the best outcome for the company and project in mind.
- Strong understanding of development tools, processes (start to finish development), Microsoft Office applications and scheduling tools.
- Own issues and risks, identifying them as early as possible and finding mitigation and resolutions.
- Oversee budgets, authorize, manage and track expenditures.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of working on an External Production role.
- Open, honest and trustworthy.
- Highly self-motivated with good use of initiative.
- Clear communicator with good presentation skills.
- Proven track record of success in quality and on-time delivery.
- Experience with development for PC and current consoles, including porting between platforms.
- Experience with outsourced development.
- Experience with Agile and waterfall development methodologies.
- Leadership and supervisory management skills.
- Experience working with international teams.
- Ability to travel.
- Experience in free-to-play, live operations and PC production a plus.
- Japanese language ability a plus but not required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
