Overview
We are looking for an experienced Executive Producer to join new game development at Big Fish Games. This person will report into the Head of New Games to drive business outcomes and establish strong production standards for our portfolio of titles. The ideal candidate has strong creative, technical, and analytical skills and previous managerial experience with free-to-play mobile games.
Experience managing a team of direct and indirect reports, with a solid understanding of a wide range of leadership, management, communication, and production practices is a must. They also need to be able to align and motivate all disciplines while cultivating a positive team culture. Ultimately, this candidate is a problem solver and not afraid to get their hands dirty in the day-to-day chaos of a live game.What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the discipline leads on product and project direction, scope, execution strategies, managing financials, needs for additional support, and cross-project staffing
- Leverage your deep production/project management expertise to facilitate the meetings and collaboration needed to create and coordinate roadmaps, define backlogs and milestones, identify and mitigate risks, and guide the team and project through planning, development, and release as well as improving processes along the way.
- Deliver world-class, free-to-play mobile games and services in collaboration with 3rd party development partners meeting timeline and budget targets as you keep the project on track.
- Strategize, implement and maintain multiple workstreams to improve and ensure on-time delivery of milestones for up to 6 new games
- Grow and expand a culture promoting collaboration and continuous improvement, ensuring process does not impede progress
- Bring energy, momentum, passion, and charisma to inspire and motivate the team and team leadership
- Effectively communicate the needs of the project, build and strengthen the communication between disciplines and locations and leverage the opportunities and resources of the larger organization
- Develop assessment tools for evaluation of progress, processes, and plans for areas needing improvement
- Manage, mentor, and coach the production team growing and developing stronger production skillsets
- Provide ongoing executive-level reporting progress and communication
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and team performance by working collaboratively with other disciplines to drive results and outcomes
- Help define and set best practices and make sure they are communicated and utilized across the team
What We're Looking For
- You have 8+ years of relevant work experience leading and guiding multi-disciplinary teams through all stages of development on at least three released games as Executive Producer, Development Director, or Game Director, preferably on a mobile title
- You know the mobile market, mobile platforms and have 3+ years of experience with F2P game development and LiveOps
- You have experience working with 3rd party development studios
- You have experience overseeing teams working on live games/games as a service
- You understand and have hands-on knowledge of all aspects of game production from concept through live operations
- You have strong knowledge of mobile development, the app stores, and the needs of modern mobile games
- You have applied Agile methodologies on prior game projects and a continuous improvement approach to the product and processes
- You are experienced growing, motivating, and driving teams to success and lead by example
- You know what is needed to lead multi-disciplinary teams to create and grow great games
- You are an extraordinary communicator and know the importance of solid project management and relationship-building skills
- You are known for your organizational skills and focus on the details
- You are calm in the chaos and know what it takes to move a team forward through the changes of a live game
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
