Head of Programmatic Demand

About the role:
Chartboost is looking to add an Exchange Lead to join our supply operations team in San Francisco. This role will support the Business Operations team and lead one of Chartboost’s flagship products - the Chartboost Exchange. The Chartboost Exchange launched in early 2017 and has since grown immensely. To help us with the continued success and growth of the exchange, the Exchange Lead will manage a team responsible for all demand partners (DSPs) connected to the Chartboost Exchange, programmatic supply side partnerships, and yield analysis. The lead is also responsible for key strategic initiatives with Chartboost’s top partners or within the industry as they pertain to Chartboost’s programmatic business. The position requires a combination of strong business acumen, analytical skills, deep knowledge of programmatic advertising, and experience with contract negotiations and team management.
What you'll do:
- Manage a team consisting of a partner manager and a data analyst to achieve quarterly revenue and strategic goals
- Manage and maintain executive client relationships to scale partners and drive new and existing opportunities to grow overall exchange revenue for the business
- Manage, monitor, and review business operations, including analysis of exchange and partner performance
- Source and negotiate high impact deals across programmatic demand and partners
- Manage the overall DSP integration pipeline/process including both business and technical requirements as well as prioritization
- Ability to dive deep into partner KPI and strategies to influence and recommend new initiatives that contribute to overall revenue growth for the exchange
- Work with demand partners to understand monetization strategies to determine opportunities for better inventory access, differentiated offerings, and ad types
- Offer new and creative ways to work with demand partners including new product innovation, promotional programs, co-selling, insights, and new partnership ventures
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align on strategic initiatives related to Chartboost’s programmatic offerings
- Attend conferences, evangelize Chartboost Exchange, and collect industry feedback
Who you are:
- BA or BS in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or other related field
- 5+ years of business development, account/partner management working experience, ad tech industry and/or mobile in-app experience preferred
- 2+ years of strong management experience
- Experience with contract negotiation
- An understanding of the programmatic advertising and the supply side ecosystem, including Exchanges, SSPs, and DSPs partners
- Strong quantitative skills and analytical experience with the ability to utilize data to generate insights, measure success, drive performance, and provide recommendations that contribute to account growth
- Self-driven and detail-oriented and capable of leading new initiatives and managing complex projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to effectively manage internal and external communication
- Team player and cross-departmental communicator
