Events Producer II

Riot's People team exists to help Rioters make better decisions around its talent. We bring our expertise to all of those typical HR activities such as hiring, onboarding, development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, benefits, perks, compensation, big events, labor relations, off-boarding so that all Rioters can flourish.
As an Events Producer II on the People team reporting to the Sr. Manager, People Programs, you'll manage some of Riot's largest internal events, delighting Rioters with new experiences, and ensuring these events reinforce Riot's culture. You'll oversee the end-to-end production event experience, working with our teams, production partners, and regions to provide excellent events and experiences around the globe for Rioters.
Responsibilities:
- Manage production and execution timelines, milestones, and tasks; ensure all partners, vendors, and team members are delivering quality results that continue to improve Rioter experiences
- Create events including: oversee stage and technical production, manage event budgets, manage production vendors, develop creative concepts that meet event goals, and handle all event production logistics and deliverables
- Measure success of events using post-event surveying and engagement data
- Manage multiple medium to large-scale projects simultaneously, nurturing them from creation to completion while working with partners to align around the desired end result
- Work to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are identified and managed daily to meet expectations and project goals
- Be an on-site event manage, vendor liaison, and logistics manager
- Help level up the team by improving processes and collaborating on development and skills learned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years experience in event management, with experience in multi-faceted event experiences
- Knowledge of the elements of live production (audio, video, lighting, staging) and how to integrate these elements together to create a memorable experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage a complex project with multiple moving pieces
- Excellent customer service skills ; customer orientation and empathy
- Proven ability to solve problems autonomously, looking at a situation holistically and ensuring the best possible outcome for their customer
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Availability to work non-standard hours in support of event offerings, as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the video game industry and empathy for the player experience
- Deep understanding of Riot's values and mission , with a desire to share Riot's story with others
For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and choices that focus on your fellow Rioters, who are the customers of your work. Being a dedicated fan of games is not necessary for this position!
