Events Manager

We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented Events Manager to join the Discord team. Reporting to the Head of Events, you’ll be joining our production and creative operations team where you’ll collaborate with the product marketing, business development, PR & Communications and creative departments to help execute our marcom initiatives across B2C, B2B, and press related events. You’ll have a hand in producing Discord events big and small - from small sales dinners all the way to tradeshows and conferences.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and develop comprehensive work plans, including schedules, important milestones, and deliverables to help coordinate cross-functional teams
• Develop and manage event budgets
• Align on departmental success metrics and build an event-specific action plan to achieve their goals
• Support B2B focused events, including inbound partner relationship management
• Support events presence in major US and global events such as GDC, PAX, MAU, Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, and Advertising Week
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors/partners
• On-site booth management and event support
• Coordinate event-related logistics like staff travel and lodging, business meeting room coordination, and programming schedules
• Travel to event locations around the world

What you should have

• 3+ years experience in events field or equivalent
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Strong project and program management skills
• Experience with producing sales dinners, happy hours, and smaller sales focused events
• Experience developing and executing tradeshow and conference booths and experiences
• Passion for events as a tool for contributing to overall business goals
• Passion for designing experiences and a hunger to excel in a fast-paced environment
• A no-fear attitude about new projects and experiments
• Creative problem solving skills
• Flexibility and agility to execute on last-minute urgent requests
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 20%

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000 to $151,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.
