About the Position
The Esports Software Developer: Frontend (Contract) role will be on the forefront of new, cutting edge broadcast tools for first and 3rd party production partners. This role will be responsible for helping to develop scalable product solutions and system integrations between proprietary Twitch technologies and existing broadcast ecosystem products. As a frontend focus, the ideal candidate for this role has experience designing and building flexible user interfaces with a strong understanding of data flow connectivity throughout product systems. As a member of a small innovative team, you will need a strong ability to interact with end users, work independently, design systems, document, and present new data flows and ideas. We’re looking for someone excited to help redefine the future of creating great content with Twitch!
Responsibilities
- Design, Build, and Own new product interfaces and user interaction narratives
- Manage product integrations and data flows with ecosystem partners
- Execute global deployment and usage training for first party partners
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer
- Extensive user interface and design background, with particular development experience in React, Go, and Linux development environments
- Multiple shipped products and experience with full software development lifecycles
- Strong foundation of data structures and algorithms. Familiarity with scalability, concurrency, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Sound technical judgment and a bias for action
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Bonus Points
- Experience with video broadcast production equipment
- In depth knowledge of video encode / decode toolkits, libraries, and methodologies
- Familiarity with Livestreaming and engagement interactivity
- Experience shipping products and security lifecycles
- Comfort deploying products and setting them up with customers on site
