Esports Product Lead - VCT Americas

The Esports team is focused on delivering amazing fan experiences through our global events and regional competitions. Our professional and semi-professional competitive tiers in League of Legends, VALORANT and other Esports involve thousands of players and hundreds of organizations competing every week.

As Product Manager for VCT Americas, you will help shape the direction of the league, partner with internal teams to ensure we’re delivering a compelling product to fans, and collaborate with pro teams to deliver the best competitive experience.

Your strategic vision, product management skills, operational excellence, and passion for esports will help you to establish new standards in professional esports. This role is based in Los Angeles and you will report to the Head of VALORANT Esports, Americas to align your strategy and vision with our overall esports strategy for the territory.

Responsibilities:

• Run the holistic product experience and strategy of new or current projects for the VCT Americas league
• Work with other esports leaders (content, broadcast, competitive operations, etc.) to identify main requirements, outcomes, and improve the product. To support this partnership, must be conversationally adept in the components that make up an esports program
• Partner with our VCT Americas team partners to understand their strategic/operational objectives and how we can support their growth
• Manage the VCT Americas P&L, prepare and present insight, plans and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Develop and design a fan experience that puts fans first while being commercially viable for the league and teams
• Run weekly stand-ups and manage work tracking for sections of the team
• Support external relationships, including fan communication, partner engagement, and media relationships, to continue to grow the VCT Americas League

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of product leadership experience in sports, tech, or entertainment
• Experience setting a clear strategic vision and translate that vision into a cohesive portfolio of competitive products
• You know how to create product strategies for the different ecosystems, identify audience requirements, product requirements and delivery plans that will go from product conceptualization to implementation and performance tracking
• Experience managing & operating a P&L with direct accountability
• Expert knowledge of the esports and gaming industry globally
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experienced and comfortable acting as a public facing leader
• Detail-oriented and digitally organized
• Experience working with remote teams and external vendors

Desired Qualifications:

• Understanding of the tactical shooter genre
• Experience negotiating deals with tournament organizers, production companies, broadcasters and media groups
• Experience or training in a public facing role a plus
