Art at Timbre Games
We are visionaries, sculptors, painters and landscapers of virtual worlds. Together, we breathe life into creative concepts and ideas while defining experiences and quality. We collaborate with multiple departments to establish our vision, and absolutely light up as we watch it all come together. We are utilizing advanced tools and technologies to shape our vision of building diverse and accessible AAA games. In this role, you’ll be helping us create a unique, cartoony ARPG .
As an Environment Technical Artist at Timbre, you strive to bring clear solutions to the workflow, set deco and pipeline problems facing environment artists at each stage of development, from early exploration through production and finaling. You have a responsive, service-oriented approach to the needs of the team, and work in close collaboration with the artists to create rich, diverse worlds.
The impact you will have as an Environment Technical Artist at Timbre:
- Implement and maintain game-wide pipelines collaborating with engineering and art content teams
- Support artists by troubleshooting artwork, fixing content issues, or providing training and documentation
- Create tools and scripts to assist the artists in their workflow
- Optimize content to hit performance or memory targets
- Collaborate on high quality shaders and materials for a wide variety of surface types
What you bring:
- 3+ years of industry experience in a similar role
- Proficiency with Unreal and Maya
- Background in 3D modelling
- Proven experience in the field of Environment Technical Art through direct work in the industry and/or use of a portfolio
- Understanding of physically based lighting and shading
- Continuously improving content pipelines
- Work through ambiguity while still delivering timely and high-quality results
Your track record might include:
- Experience prototyping visual & pipeline solutions in early development
- Experience with modular workflow
- Material authoring for content creators
- Python Scripting
