Modeling Supervisor - Environment (Contract)

Lead Environment Modeler is responsible for creating and/or reviewing environment and prop models during pre-build and episodic production, including completion and reviewing of UV layout and rigging for environments and props. The Lead Environment Modeler ensures that all deliverables align with the production schedule, technical specifications and creative vision of the series.
Responsibilities:
- Create the environment and prop models during pre-build, including completion and reviewing of UV layout and rigging for environments and props
- Assist and review Partner Studio(s) modeling, rigging, and UVs of environments and props
- Complete the finaling process on the environment and props
- Provide expertise while implementing our pipeline to ensure proper workflow across departments
- Ensure that creative and technical modeling standards are adhered to by Partner Studio(s) within the confines of the production schedule
- Create documentation and/or review documentation created by the Environment Modelers
- Serve as environment modeling point person in production specific meetings and reviews
- May be asked to represent the Environment Modeling department in the bi-weekly CG Process meeting
- Develop, manage and maintain timing and production quotas in accordance with the coordination team;
- Attend and actively participate in meetings with clients;
- Assign, supervise and review the modeling team’s work;
- Develop and improve procedures and tools to facilitate production;
- Work closely with the other supervisors in order to ensure a good transition into animation, rendering, etc. and support the teams throughout production;
- Anticipate, analyze and find solutions to potential and actual technical problems;
- Develop and manage the modeling work process (nomenclature, references, resources needed, methodology, tools, schedules, work assignments, etc.)
- Be hands-on, working on projects at a senior/lead level too, whilst supervising other projects.
