Environment Concept Artist (Contract)

Who We Are:

Magic Fuel Games is team of games industry veterans, and we are building a top-class studio to create globally appealing titles. We are looking for team members who are passionate about developing games and shaping the company that they work in.

Who You Are:

You are an experienced artist able to create stylized art and fully versed in the process of visual development. You should have an impeccable sense for design, with finely honed sensibilities to form, detail, color, and light. Experience with world building and visualization of urbanized environments is important.

The creative process is highly collaborative and you should be able to communicate concepts in a clear and confident manner.

How You'll Contribute:

• Working closely with the Art Director to help establish the look and feel of the environments of a new game concept.
• Collaborate with design to help facilitate the process of generating compelling ideas and concepts.

What You'll Need:

• 3+ years strong character and environment design experience
• 3+ years experience with Photoshop and a Fine Arts background (represented in portfolio)
• Shipped at least 1 mobile, PC or console title
• Ability to conceptualize ideas with rapid pencil work
• A true passion for gaming with an awareness of industry trends and standards
• Working knowledge of Maya is a bonus but not essential

• Working from our studio in San Leandro, CA is preferred. However, we will consider strong candidates for remote working.
